Another AMG vid...

Post by Qyot27 » Tue Jul 06, 2004 12:34 am

Well, I decided to remake one of my early videos, and I was finally able to get it done. Here's the link:

Won't You Take Me Back? [Gee Angel v2.0]
Song: Gee Angel
Band: Sugar
Anime: Oh My Goddess! OVA

The basic plot of the video is probably like watching home movies, since it doesn't necessarily have a clearly defined story, although some cues late in the video harken back to other scenes on purpose. Another way of looking at the video is kind of like 'Keiichi's been hurt somehow, and it's slowly coming back to him in bits and pieces throughout the video', which would explain why there's so much fragmentation. Either way of looking at it is an easy way to allow the other characters in the series some screen time, and not just Keiichi and Belldandy (even though they have the most, by far).

Comments appreciated!

Ah ! My Goddess !

Uhh ... about the vid , I liked it ^^

The capture quality its very good if I compare with other vids with footage from the TV OVA.
The act sync it's good . . .
But I felt that the song was too much fast paced to this kind of vid , the lyrics goes well with the scenes and all , but I think that a song with fast beats like this would fit more with action music videos.

And I think that sometimes a flash effect here and there could make a vid with this kind of song more interesting to watch , just my opinion ^^
Nothing usefull here .

Thanks! My music choices in general are a little odd, and this video wasn't any different in that regard, even if it did fit lyrically. I wanted a fun video, so I used a fun song. That was about the extent of what I was thinking, aside from the fact the lyrics fit very well.

It was a good video overall. From a strictly technical standpoint (concerning the editing and footage quality), it was above par. However, when it comes to story, it's a bit fragmented and doesn't really come together as a story you'd be able to follow through the vid. Having seen the series, I can recognize most of the scenes and therefore understand the lyric sync well, however for someone who isn't familiar with it beforehand, it could possibly be confusing. Anyway, those are my thoughts on it, and I look forward to seeing more of your vids in the future.

Well, I mentioned that it has a very fragmented storyline...heck, it's what the video is based around (although I only decided that about halfway through editing it, lol). I have found that most of my videos do require people to read what I wrote in the video description to fully understand my videos' plots in general, with few exceptions. Thanks for the comments, though!
