New Final Fantasy X and X-2 Music Video

Post by firerules16 » Tue Mar 16, 2004 1:47 pm

Hey all,

I just finished a FFX and X-2 AMV set to a song by Seal called Love's Divine. Here's the link.

I don't have a detailed description up just yet. I'll have one in a few days, probably. Please feel free to download, and I would love some reviews. :D

Thanks everyone!

The video's very pretty. :) I had to download the 3ivx codec to make the video play, but I have to say the capture quality looks very awesome.

I liked 90% of the effects, especially some of the overlays that had Yuna singing. I don't know if I like that last zoom-out effect as the video fades out, though.

It has good editing and timing, esp. for a FF video, but it seems to me like there's something missing. It lacks the power and dynamics needed for an awesome drama video, IMO. There was emotion there, but it wasn't enough to pull you in. I think that's partly due to the sing, because though the song was pretty and everything, it was a little monotonous for a music video. It was a good video, it's just not anything drastically new or different, that's all.

But I'm glad to see you making another FF video. I still have your "Breathless" video saved in my AMV folder.

You know, I agree with you completely. That's actually something that I'm going to bring up in my full description, when I get the chance to write it out. The truth is that once I started working on the video, it became increasingly hard to edit with the song. It was *not* an easy song to edit to, and I think it'll be the last time I try to make a video to a song like that. Don't get me wrong, I love the song... but I agree with you that it probably isn't good amv material.

Heh, oh well. I'm glad you liked the capture quality and most of the effects, etc. Later!
