Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

anime music videos published monthly by dokan

Post by xxxxx » Sun Nov 02, 2003 11:24 am

i am writing in regard to a monthly publication called dokan, which is an anime magazine from barcelona spain. although the magazine is in spanish, there is included a video disc which contains anime music videos for the featured anime of each month, and these are in english set to american pop music. the videos are quite professional, presumably the licensing corporations have given the publication unlimited access to all images extant for the anime for the publicity.
dokan is a part of ares informatica, avda mare du deu demonserratz, 08970 sant joan despi, barcelona spain (93-477-02-50), web site adress is www.aresinfo.com.

Wasn't this the magazine that used people's vids like DokiDoki's and Kevin Caldwell's vids on those cd's without giving any notification to the creators themselves?

Heh, you guys are screwed :P You presumed wrong.

If these videos are unauthorized fanworks (as 95-99% of anime music videos are), it's arguable that your magazine is illegally distributing copyrighted material to boost profits.

Oops :P

They didn't include any of mine, I just reported about it.
That magazine ("Otaku") was French, not Spanish, and only had partial videos.
