- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.

My First Uploaded Video Is Now Available!!
w00t!!! I've finally figured out how to upload music videos to the carrot!! I just finished this one (again) today, its my Evangelion - Bring Me To Life video. I re-did part of the ending of the video, seeing as it originally contained a scene that I think I've overused in other videos. Um, it uses footage from both of the Eva movies, and it doesnt really have a solid theme, but it kind of tells part of the 3rd impact story. It runs for about 4 minutes and is about 27 mb. It uses the DivX 5.02 codec.
Now, I've already shown several people this video, and I've recieved nothing but compliments. I also showed my dad, two days ago, and he says that it was an extremely good video, and i would do it great justice to distribute it. As of this post, I'm confirming the upload, so I'll post the link to the video as soon as its ready.

I actually just entered one.... what was it called.... shit, I'll post back with the name of that one.Declan_Vee wrote:Hey, not too shabby.
Damn this lack of resume... I've said it before, I'm not donating until the doughnut/carrot has some kind of resume function.
Say, you don't plan on entering any certain AMV competitions anytime soon, eh?

That was the biggest issue I had...I've already been flamed for it, but I figured that I could make a good video to an otherwise overused song, and look! its an Eva one to boot, obviously something that not too many folk are doing.burntoast wrote:Nice work.
Song may be overused a bit, but I haven't seen one to NGE.. good times.

I saw smb's amv before he cut out that ending. But damn the ending is alot more catchier. I had to show my family this music video.... after explain that beginning with the no borders thing. other than that they enjoyed it.
Although, maybe I should see it when my eyes aren't so strained heh, those flashes at the beginning were making my eyes water... heh.
It is one of the best EVA Amvs that I have seen recently and even though Evanescence's song Bring me To Life is an overused song, it still fit the amv well.
Congratulations on the uploading and splendid work. I have to say that I miss the old ending for it but you haven't ruined it's shine at all, maybe enhanced it a fair bit more than before.
It makes me want to get the entire EVA series now... all I need to do is get the money....I think I need to get a job...

Yeah, but the renewal project thing... I'd say hold off for a while. Or you could be like myself... Taped off of SBS, 13 VHS, 8 DVDs... then the movies. Maybe I should get those VHS to... nah.chaoticstormbringer wrote:It makes me want to get the entire EVA series now... all I need to do is get the money....I think I need to get a job...
