Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Samurai Jack is "Samurai Windu" (SW Trailer Proj.

"Does this guy actually own any real anime?" may be what you're thinking right about now (especially if you read my earlier announcement for PPG:R (if you haven't, why haven't you?? Chop chop! :P ). Yes, I do... but sometimes (in the case of Samurai Windu and PPG:R) what I think will work best for a particular idea ends up coming (at least in concept and development if not always in animating...) from this side of the pond.

Such was the case when I first heard about the Star Wars Trailer Project. The Project set out to make AMVs to all of the short, 'tools of the trade' teaser trailers from Star Wars Ep. II : Attack of the Reis, I mean, Atttack of the Clones. Looking through the available trailers, it just struck me as how well Samurai Jack's demeanor and skill seemed to match up with those of Samuel L. Jackson's Mace Windu. My idea was approved, and I was in on the project. While I don't currently know anything about the status of the project overall, with the Carrot now up and running, my Samurai Windu segment is up for your enjoyment (or cringing at). It's short, it's sweet, it's small. If you'd started DLing it when you started reading this, it would probably be done by now*.

Samurai Windu

Note: Any props on the sabers should go where they rightly belong- to VicBond007. His volunteering to do them in Photoshop saved the world from my much less l33t looking AE-lightning sabers.

* Assuming you have a broadband connection, can DL from the Carrot now (if not, it'll still be hot and fresh on Monday!), there aren't pi^8 people DLing from the carrot as well, there isn't sunspot activity, and you aren't sitting upside down in your underwear typing with your toes.
