Violet Evergarden is an anime about overcoming trauma and helplessness. Its one of those cathartic shows that I can't watch and NOT ugly cry every time. Its emotional themes and gorgeous aesthetics felt like the perfect fit for my favorite Sigur Ros song.

The song was written in 1999 in response to the Kosovo war. The title translates to "Good weather for airstrikes".
En Það Besta Sem Guð Hefur Skapað Er Nýr Dagur (The best thing God has created is a new day) is the final line of lyrics.

This video is how I choose to cope with feeling helpless in a fucked up world.
