THERE'S A BOMB IN MY CAR !! [CSM Reze Arc X Geese AMV]

There's been two big things on my mind lately, which is the notions of:
  • Bad Love: Being compulsively attracted to things that hurt you (I go off about this a lot in my last AMV retrospective show)
  • Getting Killed: Leaving yourself vulnerable to be annihilated by someone (which of course I got thinkin about cause of the Geese album of the same name)
Seeing Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc in the theaters was a really really affecting experience for me cause the movie is so inseparably about these things in really expressive, engrossing, genius ways. Those through lines underline a lot of Fujimoto's stuff that has been mindblowing for me (his early one shots comp was the most excited I've been from reading something in so long, and even inspired me to start writing my own fiction stuff again, cannot wait for the anime adaptation), so it's been double exciting to see that translated so seamlessly to a blockbuster on the 4DX big screen (also the best use of 4DX seat motion I've ever seen in a theater).

I left all hopped up on excitement and went home and grabbed a Malaysian camrip (which was pretty good by camrip standards! Blew the socks off the Boy and the Heron one I used last year) and started fumbling around and before I knew it this vid was done! I'm really really ecstatic with the results, realizing I could match the downbeat at the end of Cocaine with the downbeat that starts Trinidad had me jumpin round my room like a madman, and the anime sequences just clicked into place so perfectly with the two songs that before I knew it I had a vid that feels pretty cohesive and is exciting to watch. I hope y'all can get summin out of it too!
