Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Git God - Sekiro GMV

I picked up Sekiro in late 2023, after eyeing it for a couple of years, and finished my first playthrough of it around spring of 2024. What a phenomenal experience it was! The game instantly became one of my all time favorites and got stuck in my mind for a very long time, eventually leading to new playthroughs and one of the few platinum trophies in my gaming career. When I heard this song, I immediately thought that it would be cool to combine it with Sekiro, because I felt like it was able to express all the rhythmic and underlying fun/ny nature of the game while simultaneously having a cocky attitude and sounding like being on the verge of a nervous breakdown – the latter being one of the more common reactions among those who interacted with the source material.

I hope that this little tribute entertains you and inspires some of you to give this fantastic game a try. It may look and act tough, but beneath the stoic demeanor it hides an endearingly goofy personality. Just like our good boi Wolf 😉

Enjoy the ride, follow your dreams, and remember: "Hesitation is defeat." 🐉

P.s. By old habit I went in to enter the video into the org database before posting on the forum, only to realize half-way into the process that it is technically a non-anime source. So I marked it as such. Hope I didn't mess anything up 🙏

Since this is a game produced by a Japanese company, it's allowed
