Anime: Dragon Ball Z
Song: One Call Away
Artist: Charlie Puth
Creator: Drabaz
Here's another emotional Dragon Ball video to add to the list! As some of you know, I prefer these type of feel-good videos over the action heavy types that have plagued DBZ AMVs since the beginning. That and also because I'm not that good at creating action heavy AMVs lol. My AMVs are very simple, but what they lack in effects they make up for in heart. With that said, I have been trying to mess with masking a little bit. I'm still not that great at it, but it's so hard to do in solely Sony Vegas with anime footage from the 80's/90's.

The idea for this AMV came out of the obvious parallel to the Superman backstory. And the fact that Goku's always there when we need him. Well, he's eventually there when we need him.

Sidenote: I forgot all about AMVsimple until after I uploaded this to Youtube. So the a-m-v.org version is definitely in better quality.

You always pick really good songs for your amvs and do a good job of showing the more emotional side of dbz. I love it! <3

Not gonna lie, I completely cracked up on the "Superman got nothing on me" line due to the "Goku vs Superman" Death Battles  . Totally loved every part of this! And the transition at 2:49 was so good! That's like my favorite part :D . Great Job

Haha, I definitely thought about the Death Battles many times while making this. I didn't let it influence anything about the AMV though.

I spent so much time on 2:49, trying to make it transition just right. So much time that I couldn't tell if I was doing a good job on it anymore lol. But I'm happy you noticed it and it hit the desired effect I was going for! I don't know much about Superman, but I know he occasionally lifts heavy stuff  So I decided, what better scene to poke a small jab at Superman than the scene from the first episode of him lifting up Bulma's car! The idea of transitioning it into the final Spirit Bomb scene hit me out of nowhere while I was at work! I scared my co-workers that day when out of nowhere I yelled out "PERFECT!"
