Fair enough. You get offended easily and are overly sensitive about your work. You did not ask Kisagi to explain his criticisms (like you just posted above), instead you attacked his work personally which is a completely different subject. This announcement thread is about YOUR work. Learn to accept criticism like an adult. Whether you think someone is rude is beside the point, you can always learn something from another editor. If you wish to grow and improve it would be wise to keep that in mind. You seem like a smart person, but confrontational.

As for the meme, sometimes the best way to get a point across is through exaggeration.

First ,Well you've mentioned just the 1% of the problem here , you didn't answer at my question, you didn't precise where is the random selecting , did you all at least watched the anime and read the lyrics ? To be fair, I hated the community when I first joined because I also assumed they were attacking me in some condescending way, but they're just telling the truth. They just want to help you and if you listen to what they have to say, you really can improve. I've learned quite a lot from those little posts from the AMV announcements replies/opinion boards. But attacking him wasn't a cool way to justify just a suggestion that very well could actually help your videos. He's trying to say that (Or she.. Kisagi are you a she or he? I forgot.) you may have good editing, but if there's no substance or meaning, that's all your video is. Just flashy and random and nonsensical. The people who've seen the actual show as well may feel cheated and realize the lack of substance too. One example I try to do, at least if it's like a multi-anime vid, is to have a theme or something to go off of. Even in my newest collab with my studio member, we spent hours planning each little scene so that it DOES make sense and the audience will get every reference/scene we throw into it. So as a fellow friend/family member here of the community, I sincerely ask that you don't bash the family or completely disregard opinions. That is NOT what we are about. We help eachother, and even harsh criticism sometimes is necessary. But in the end, it's just an opinion. Don't feel like he's attacking you because he just hates your guts or something. He/she is just trying to help you.

Well in the end I'm sorry for bothering you with my work. I found actually a more helpful forum last month people there gives details with seconds and knows every genres not just what they like. I saw it through the youtube link and I enjoyed it for what it was, maybe cause I'm a low key ROD fan and I like the song used ( It's an opening song for something I forget what) but yeah, it's kinda like a blast from the past.

ROD was my favorite series for a few years and probably the first series I really got into that wasn't a "gateway" anime. As such, this is a blast from the past but that's hardly a bad thing for me.

Come to think of it, I don't know if I've ever seen a truly great ROD AMV. This is not gonna be that AMV but it's surprisingly good, IMO. The stock effects will turn some viewers off, and I can completely understand where those people are coming from because for the large part it's hard to understand why they're here. They did not really enhance the video for me but they didn't ruin it either because I thought this was one of the more tightly edited action videos I've seen in a while. Please note that I don't really seek this sort of thing out anymore and am actually pretty burned out on this approach but I always loved the action in ROD (for all its narrative flaws, the choreography and editing of the fight scenes is hard to beat) and I think this video plays with it effectively and actually does it justice. I remember having a few "holy shit"-moments when watching both the series and the OVA and I got a little nostalgic for those when watching this, which took me by surprise. There's a lot of editing techniques in this that I usually loathe, but now I'm wondering why I feel that way because this video won me over in a big way. It's not groundbreaking but for 2 minutes I can leave those expectations at the door and just enjoy this for what it is.

I don't have any feelings about this song and I always feel like J-pop keeps me at arm's length from getting into an AMV. Using another anime's opening theme in an AMV (which I didn't know about until looking it up, ftr) is always a no-no for me but who cares? This worked really well, I think. There is room for improvement but I feel that way about almost every AMV I watch.
