One Punch Man AMV - Hero

Post by Kakosch » Wed Nov 25, 2015 4:56 pm

Hey there,
I just finished my second AMV ever :D
Just had to do one after I started watching One Punch Man, it´s really a great anime in my opinion (at least so far).
The AMV itself took a lot less time than my first one, but I suppose that´s pretty normal. Unfortunately I wasn´t able to remove the subtitles is a few scenes, I guess I´ll have to learn that till next time.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it!
Feedback is greatly appreciated :)

It isn't bad for a second video, but it could also definitely be better. Firstly, I think one of the biggest issues is you picked a high impact action song with a show that honestly doesn't have the footage for it yet so I think it would have been better to wait for it to finish, or to have picked a less demanding songs. I'd also suggest you try and focus on beat sync more to try and have the action hit at points the beats hit to try and keep pace with the song ^^
The third big thing is about the subtitles and watermarks. There are versions of the show available places where it isn't hard subbed and where it is without watermarks. Subtitles and watermarks in an AMV is one of the biggest nonos, and if you plan to enter contests in the future, will get you immediately DQed. If you want me to give you tips on where and how to find them without these watermarks and subtitles though, just message me and I can give you more information on that ^^ I look forward to see what you make in the future!

Thank you! Yeah the beat sync could definitely be a lot better, but I´ve got a question regarding that. Could it be that the sync of the video is a little bit off after you upload it to youtube? I think I can notice a slight difference to the original video, but I´m not completely sure. I don´t really plan to enter a contest anytime soon, but thanks for the information ^^

I mean, YouTube can change it a bit, but not significant enough for me to point it out (since I have videos that are off sync by a tiny bit on YouTube as well so I generally know what it looks like) It may be a good idea to have a download version of your vids on the org as well though to make sure people have the option to watch them without the risk of YouTube messing anything up ^^

And this is how to post the video properly on the forums in the future as well ^^ :
