New from Aquiline: an Animutation crossover... 7 years late.

I don't have a cute banner for this yet, and there is no way you can ask me to pick just one frame to adequately summarize this video.



Especially recommended for: Dance Dance Revolution fans, Animutation fans, and the drunk and/or high.

I'm releasing this before we leave for Anime Weekend Atlanta tomorrow morning so that some of you can watch it ahead of time and hopefully catch more stuff if you see it again at the convention, because some of this stuff will go by way too fast to be catchable without the luxury of a pause button.

It doesn't quite fulfill my original vision in some scenes... but now that it's taken me 7.5 years to finish the thing, I no longer have the will (or the time!) to work on it any further.

The retro. I'm loving it!! I have to admit that I wasn't that familiar with the majority of Animutations back in the day but I do get the majority of the retro anime references and similar silliness. I'm going to have this on loop for a while...

and CHAIR!! Someone remembers CHAIR CHAIR CHAIR?!? Legend has it that it started at Fanimecon's masquerade as things dragged on and nothing was on the stage but a chair. (Though some say otherwise. Its true origins may never be known.) Someone even mocked up a Chair AMV based off of it that was used as a masquerade opening sequence in later years @ Fanime. Nowadays if you yell Chair, no one even responds... So seeing it referenced here was pure .

Seriously, for someone who still feels a little out of place with a lot of modern anime and AMVs, this was a blast to the past and oh-so enjoyable. I'm glad you released it finally!
