Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Hey there! ^^

Overall I thought it was a simply-edited AMV like you said, but the song choice was good and the cuts you made were in time with the beat, which is always a good thing. The scenes you showed were meaningful to the context of the words in the song. For me, concept is more important than technical considerations, plus I'm not one to insist that effects be in a video for me to enjoy it, so I did like it and it's also a good start for a first AMV!

Some minor technical points - obviously windows movie maker doesn't track the source footage very well (I used to use this program *shudders* ) as is evident around the 2:53 mark on YouTube - see how the mouths are moving super-quick?

Generally, not a good idea to use footage with subs on it. Raws are the ones without subs, and just so you know, it's considered ethical that you purchase at least some of the DVDs from a legitimate source so the money is flowing back to the company.

Use the VidID tag above, and between the tags goes the number that's in the URL when you're looking at your actual video entry on the site. In your case, the number is 186278 and you don't have to use HTML - the tag does everything for you.

Here's some guides: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ (don't mean to overwhelm you, but it's nice to have an idea - you might see something that pops out to you as a good idea ;) )

The guides show how to use FTP to upload directly to animemusicvideos.org, which allow for anonymous quick comments and also your video to be rated. You used a direct link for some reason. (it's your choice - you might not want the video rated - standards can be high here! Don't get discouraged - keep doing what you enjoy and take advice if it makes sense to you :) )

Anyway, I did think that you captured the Naruto/Hinata moments well and matched to the song. And I really want to know how you got the "as seen on animemusicvideos.org" link on your YouTube vid! :o
