Hmm...I'm quite amused that in the past, I get blasted with comments about what's wrong with a video, yet the downloaders tend to rate it high, but with this video, it's rated super low, yet no one has complained about anything...hmm...

I think that's due to the overall quality and synch, but it is enjoyablel33tmeatwad wrote:Hmm...I'm quite amused that in the past, I get blasted with comments about what's wrong with a video, yet the downloaders tend to rate it high, but with this video, it's rated super low, yet no one has complained about anything...hmm...

If there was an issue with the synch (as in timing) you were either watching the preview version (which throws the timing off for every video) or you might want to check your settings, something is off somewhere, the timing was very precise on a lot of the synch. As for the "quality", if you mean the quality of the video, yes, anime from the 80s tends to not look as spiffy as the new stuff.pan_dbgt01 wrote:I think that's due to the overall quality and synch, but it is enjoyablel33tmeatwad wrote:Hmm...I'm quite amused that in the past, I get blasted with comments about what's wrong with a video, yet the downloaders tend to rate it high, but with this video, it's rated super low, yet no one has complained about anything...hmm...

Re: [AMV-France] Lum's New Love Song
I think the overall combination was just ADORABLE.
That being said, my biggest complaint with the video was the scene selection. I feel like some scenes didn't meld well with the song parts that were being edited to. It wasn't often, but ever now and again there will be something in the AMV that just knocked me out of its immersive nature.
Still though, outside of those criticisms, this was a great AMV that I really enjoyed.
The fun/joy of it outweighs any complaints I may have about it from an unbiased standpoint. Definitely an AMV I'll be keeping and enjoying for quite a while to come!
Great job!

Nothing good or bad about this vid, it's all about scene selection, it's minimalist as hell. Just : there's no pace in your vid, I mean... it's like we were watching extracts of the anime without you trying to add anything to them :s
Well, it's average imho

Re: [AMV-France] Lum's New Love Song
I guess that would actually put the concept to blame (as I suspected from the start), there isn't a whole lot of depth in the actual show itself, it's a very "episodic" show, with the early part of the series containing two 10 minute segments in the episode. Most of the series itself is spent developing characters (more than just the main two), and the overall interaction between Lum and Ataru is developed from repetitiveness displayed throughout the series with no progression. There is a huge chunk of footage in this AMV from a single episode, where Lum forces Ataru to take her on a date, lol...but yeah, to put it plain and simple, there is a complete lack of footage centered around these main characters actually being romantic, most of the series is him being a complete dick, then in the rare occasion she gets upset enough to cry, he'll do something sweet for about 10 seconds...That said, I was going to pass on this video idea because I felt the concept overall was weaker than my usual projects, but I had my reasons for finishing it.MimS wrote:Nothing good or bad about this vid, it's all about scene selection, it's minimalist as hell. Additionally, taking a look at the video after reading these new comments, makes me realize how accurately I depicted the show...it also reminds me of how the show actually has no plot...lol
