Rolling Scissors (stratos)

The early concept of this video came up one day visiting the italian air force museum in "Vigna di Valle". Walking through the warplanes I stopped to see the awsome "Fiat G-55 Centauro", then reading the near-located technincal card, I read some pilots that won dogfights on that plane and between the various names I read "Franco Lucchini", suddendly I remembered that in the anime "Strike Witches" there was a character who had a similar name: "Francesca Lucchini".

So when I came back home I noticed that all the girls of that anime had similar names to real existed pilots of World War II. This discovery gave me the right inspiration for edit a new AMV.

The video's title is a dogfight technique in which two planes in an attempt to bring the queue to another creates a spiral just called "Rolling Scissors".

Cool opening with the pictures/font/clipboard files. Something cool like that is something I'd think I'd see in video games. I'm hoping that was an effect and not from the anime. XD

Since the concept is air combat, the AMV does a great job of showing that. Well, except for the panty-shots, but I think that's more the anime's fault than yours. Although maybe some better scene selection in that?

It does, however, lose some impact since it lacks a real climax, and keeps the same pace throughout the entire AMV. A little disappointing, especially with the opening. I also think it could have used a little more action scenes packed in. While it was battle-oriented, it did kind of keep certain attacks going for a long period of time, when I think you might have been able to fit more in.

Overall, entertaining and fun to watch once or twice, but it lacks a real "impact" to have a higher reviewablility. However, it does do a good job of introducing the series to non-fans.

I really liked this. It makes me want to start watching Strike Witches again even though I barely managed to force myself to sit through the first seven episodes. (the episode when they started wearing each others panties was kinda the last straw for me) So basically, your AMV makes the series look much better than I remember.

I kinda wish that you had used a bigger variety of fight scenes though. It seems like you only used scenes from 2 battles. But aside from that, this AMV is really well edited, and could easily be the official opening for the series or video game
