Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Bring in the new, but don't forget the old (Happy New Year)

I made this AMV to celebrate 2 things. The obvious one would be to celebrate the New Year, and the one not so obvious would be to celebrate the end of my 5th year of AMV editing. It was on December 31st 2005, that I made my first AMV, and since then the hobby have become very special to me. I didn't decide to make this AMV till 2 days after Christmas, so it has been a exhausting five days to say the least. The limitations that I set for myself was to use some of my favorite series/ movies that premiered in 2010, and that I've never edited to before (So that’s why Angel Beats isn't in this, and why the Haruhi movie is). And I wanted to include Baka to Test to Shōkanjū, but just couldn't get it to fit in with the rest of the anime. I wanted, to release this AMV about a hour before midnight on New Years eve, but unfortunately, I finished it a few hours late. Anyway, that’s all I have to say. Hope you all enjoy :-)

I've always wanted to edit with a variation of this song.

As far as the AMV goes...

It had a really nice buildup to the chorus, but the chorus really didn't have a "kick" to it. It was around the same pace as the opening. The ending, however, was really cute and did a rather good job with the whole thing.

On the whole, it was a nice AMV. ;)

Would have been cool if you had made this a destructive massively horror AMV where you were counting down to the DOOM O: of 2012, with massively horror anime scenes of DOOM :3

But I liked it alot, very simple and sweet, and Happy 5 years <3

YES! Lets do that. I just might start a "End of Times" MEP to be released for 2012.
