Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Six Degrees of Project NeoEditor Videos

Project NeoEditor is a contest of short-turnaround editing. Editors get 4-7 days to edit a video on a given theme, judges take two days to score them, and the lowest-scoring editors in each round are eliminated. Contest thread

Another round is going on to test out ideas for the next installment. This last round is open to all.

Round 1: Tell a Moral -3rd Place (of 13)-
Create a video that uses storytelling to convey a moral.

Round 2: Dedicated to ______ -5th Place (of 11)-
Create a "Dedicated to" video for another participant in Project Editor, randomly paired, appealing to that creator's likes and dislikes.

Round 3: Smiles and Tears -3rd Place (of 10) -
Create a video that displays your ability to transition through a range of emotions.

Round 4: Meme -1st Place (of 6)-
Create a video using one or more existing memes and reinvent the meme(s).

Round 5: Your Last Day -2nd Place (of 4)-
Create a video explaining what you would do on your last day on Earth, if you knew you were going to die.

Due to using a non-anime source, this video is available only on Youtube.
Leave a Final Work Behind

Round 6: Know Thy Enemy -Runner-Up!-
Various factors in AMV-making process are your enemy, (judges, audience, time) you must show them what you can do with this final video.

I had a blast editing for this competition, and I have no regrets about finishing second to a series of incredible videos by Ileia. I'm looking forward to the next edition.

Trolling Hayate is still in my top 5 videos in this contest. Beautifully executed. :up:

Overall, like Ileia, you had consistantly great videos throughout the competition and brought some a lot a new and interesting things to the table. :D
