Hmm, it was okay. It's just the song has nothing to do with either sources, and so everything felt so damn random. I don't know what the japanese part means, but just judging from the english lyrics is enough for me. That was probably my biggest problem. I just couldn't get into it because I didn't really understand what was going on. I've seen the two series, but understanding the two's stories didn't help with anything.
Only a few other things I disliked though.
I thought the flashing could have been a little more subtle, and then it could have gradually increased. That's what it looked like you did, but it ended too strong. And 2:10 was far too strong, since it wasn't synced to anything. It was just...there.
Also, the scribbly-film stuff was cool, but there was perhaps a bit too much. It was kind of distracting sometimes. But I definitely think it needed to be there.
The shatter at 1:39 was a little weird, since it didn't look like a shatter, but once I saw the little pieces of it fluttering around on the rest of the video I was like, "cool!"
The color on the video was very pretty, and the scene selection (while pretty random in my eyes) I was okay with. I liked the transition in the beginning between 5cm and Beyond the Clouds, too.
This would be more of an "upbeat romance" in my eyes though, because you used two romance animes. And because there is no other story than the ones in the anime, that was all I could see in the video.
Overall, it was okay. 3.5/5
