This AMV has a nice mood. I just feel that it would have benefited from following more of Toradora's story, and less of the lyrics in the song. Also, I feel that you overused the black and white effect to hit beats. I really liked the ending though. good choice

Okkkaayyy first thing to say: why did u make a 4:3 video when ur source is 16:9?
Try to figure out how u can change project settings in ur editing program so that ur next video is in the right size
personally I'm not very much bothered by this, but I know there are a lot people who are (bitchin even about very little small boarders at the edges )

When people tell me things like 16:9 and 4:3, which I've been told for a while, all I think is... ????????? I guess I really should read w/e technical guides are available here for these things. Anybody wanna link the best one?

hmmmmmmmm.........now that I think about it......those black borders look very familiar. Where have i seen them before? Oh I know! They're the exact same ones that refused to leave my Gunslinger Confessions AMV alone

Sony Pro 9.0, 704x396. With Vegas, I generally just leave the settings alone to w/e it started with.

Well this had some good aspects and bad, the song was really cute. Scene choices could have been better, you should try away from lip flap. I really didn't like the editing (maybe it was just the black fades that I didn't like). However, I keep finding myself rewatching this so that must tell you something =D I'll be looking forward to your future works. =]

704x396? The height of your imported video is a bit smaller than I expected. Did you crop it to be this way?

But anyway, I'm pretty sure that your pixel aspect ratio is wrong. When you open Vegas, check to see if you are using the following settings:

1) When you click "Project" and then "Properties", the width / height of your video should be 704x396. Also, your pixel aspect ratio should be 1.0 square.

2) When you right click on a clip in your "Project Media" tab and then click "Properties", the pixel aspect ratio should also be 1.0 square. (All of your clips should be at a 1.0 square aspect ratio. If they are not, you would have to individually change each one. Vegas does not allow you to change this setting in bulk)

3) Right click your video preview window, and select "default background". (This step doesn't actually affect your video, but I personally feel that it helps give you a better idea of how your video will look when you render it.)

4) At this point (if you chose to follow step 3), your preview window should have absolutely no black borders. And when you click "Project", "render as", "custom", and then the "video" tab; your frame size should also be 704x396. If its not, click the frame size drop-down tab and select "(use project settings)". Then make sure that the pixel aspect ratio in this menu also says 1.0

Highlight about 10 seconds of video and render it. Now, your output video should play at the same size as your source. But since your source is 704x396, your output will have a black space around it that is literally a lack of video. Once you load it into AvsP and use the resize calculator and the crop tool to make it 864 x 480, it should be perfect. (Although......I think that changing the video's height of 396 to 489 will cause the quality to suffer a bit.) If you originally cropped your video to get rid of subtitles, I feel that you would have been better off loading your subtitled source into Vegas and using the "Zoom / Pan" option on the scenes where there are subtitles.

Note: If this did not fix your problem, or if you already had all of those settings selected, please tell me.

oh I see. I had no idea. If that's the case, then the AMV should render properly without the last part that I typed about using AvsP. And I can't believe that I didn't even notice that 704 x 396 is a 16:9 ratio. So please ignore everything after step 4 besides the part about rendering 10 seconds of video.

rather impressed by the clenliness of the cuts... however by the end I do feel like I been beat over the head by the 'canned effects' stick . Still it seems you wanted to tell a specific story and you really tried hard.

I give you props for effort! BUT I think you need to take your storytelling into account... and what the hell does this have to do with Tsundere?? WHAT is Tsundere anyway? A proper story is told from the perspective of someone who is fresh from the mental farm sorry if I'm being harsh but the best amvs (IMO) are those that grab your senses and make you believe in what it's saying. This one seemed... off, very off. Not technically, just at a conceptual level.

I however LOVED the thought put into this, and I don't say this to every amv, this one just gives you that feeling like you are being led in one direction I liked it and found it entertaining, 3/ 5
