Whenever videos like this one here win a contest, I wish I would have taken part. Because it'd have been a really easy victory...
P.S. Your Video is like one of those I made 3 or 4 years ago. Keep practising. Don't synch ALL small single things that could possibly be synched and try to make your sync not seem so amateurish. If you sync something, make sure it looks fluent and is actually spot-on.

This one didn't win. I took Best Action again in 09 with my Encore video. This was my Drama Entry. I just now got around to uploading it. I'm not disappointed that it didn't win. There were way better Drama entries than mine.Kevmaster wrote:Whenever videos like this one here win a contest, I wish I would have taken part. Because it'd have been a really easy victory...

I'm trying to get over that habit too. Syncing to everything for me is a hard habit to get over since that's how I originally started editing. So, it's kinda hard to transition to something different. But, I'm trying. Thanks for the advice Kev.

Oh, lol. I didn't actually consider this video a drama one. It must have been the editing that made this seem like an action video to me.TwilightChrono wrote:This one didn't win. Therefore the confusion

I know how you feel^^ It's not easy to get rid of such habit.TwilightChrono wrote:Syncing to everything for me is a hard habit to get over since that's how I originally started editing. So, it's kinda hard to transition to something different. But, I'm trying. Thanks for the advice Kev.

Same here .. for me it's definitely an action vid. Well imo quite good but it's not so outstanding and great edited.Kevmaster wrote: Oh, lol. I didn't actually consider this video a drama one. It must have been the editing that made this seem like an action video to me.

Somehow I like the scene selection and your sync and the whole concept. But what totally pissed me was lip sync... probably you didn't work so much with this. Sometimes also effect that you used was a little annoying
Good luck with next amvs

Thanks. And no....sadly I didn't put too much effort into the lip sync. I was editing on a deadline with this video. Even though I had it done 2 weeks before the con started......you know what? You can just call it being lazy. I blame my PS3.Sayco wrote:Same here .. for me it's definitely an action vid. I agree with what has been said. The oversynced black beats and the lip sync were horrible, but I really like the overall concept/feel of the video. Oh, and the high res on my laptop make me cry. ;_____________; [Because my laptop monitor is so small, and this rubs it in...]
Strangely enough, this video reminds me I need a new editing rig. >___>
