  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.

A four-episode OVA anime series was released, titled Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge (Vampire Hunter: The Animated Series in Japan). Viz produced an English adaptation that was released in North America.

Neat. I've seen the artwork before, but it's nice to have a name with it.

Anyway, let me give you a bit of constructive criticism.

The main issue I had with your video can be summed up in two topics. Video quality and Sync.

First, I'll start off with video quality. The quality of the footage was very poor [WMV isn't a great format to save videos in], and it looked very low-resolution and blurry. It made it hard for me to watch it either in its actual size or in full screen. It also looked like downloaded footage, which in most cases isn't very high-res. I reccomend buying DVD's and ripping footage from them in order to acheive higher quality. Here is a link to somewhere than can help you perhaps improve the quality by a little bit if you choose to use DVD's. But remember, the general rule of editing is that you get what you start with in terms of quality, so DVD ripping is your best bet.

Your video also lacked sync/concept. It looked like random footage slapped on to a random song. Now, I'll admit, there was some signs of sync here and there lyrically and beat-wise, but for the most part, it looked random and without a purpose, and it really didn't fit the song very well. So I have to say my enjoyment fo the viewing was rather low. Here is a great guide for you to read through, and it will give you the basics of sync and editing that I think could really help you out!

And remember, if you have ANY questions, feel free to ask anywhere on the forum help section, or pm members. We're here to help.

I actually think like Code, the video quality was bad, but putting that aside, since it should be the easiest part to make better in a video, I think you should focus on sync. A 5 minutes song and with this kind of song that changes that abruptly the mood is a pretty hard bet to take on a first video.
A few suggestions that might help:
- Avoid lipsync when it doesn't really look good (first part)
- Avoid slowing down clips (that's what happens at 3:14, right?) when it makes itself so noticeable.
- Perform more cuts since this is a video going more for the action part. Use those cuts at parts where you can hear the drums, etc.
- Just the other way around, don't use action parts in quiet or peaceful scenes, such as 5:00.
- Making a better encoding of video.
- And IMO, the end was too abrupt

That's all I can think to make better the video.
