I think I kind of know what you mean. There were a few scenes I was set on using to tell my story, but when I got around to actually watching them again, they kinda lacked impact (I'm looking at you Pappillon...). The busou renkin stuff was pretty nice, at first i was kindda "wtf" about the song's mood, but it actually connected pretty nicely.
And yeah, i also liked eet, but my sister was really hyper about it, she seriously loved the pokemon anime
