While some of the editing was interesting, and you pursued some cool paths in storytelling or at least trying to get something across to the viewers, the effects utterly destroyed that. This video would have been much more enjoyable if it hadn't been drenched in really superfluous effects, and I think it became something much lesser because of them.

A good attempt, there's a visible direction to it, but please, please lay off the needless effect whoring.

See, but could you tell me, what effects were the most disturbing for you? Because I really paid attention for almost every frame of this stuff, and for the final composition. I tried to use this effects, when I wanted to follow the beat AND give a unique mood to the video. Also, I hope the effects are according to the video's colors.
So I would have been a bit sad, if all that I've done is wrong...

I'd say what was most disturbing was everything that was just the most obvious. Things that stood out as genuinely not a part of the anime were on the more painful side to see. The most out of place was definitely the waveform effect you had around :50 seconds in.

I maybe should have made myself a little more clear, there was definitely some things I thought worked, the whole 'dirty' and jagged masks you did felt good, for the most part, but then the glow/shine/radial blur felt really messy and distracting. The colour correction was definitely on the right track, but maybe if it hadn't been so strong it would have seemed more natural. I think as an experiment in what you can do with effects, this is a good tool for you, because you can look at it afterwards and say "okay, this worked out, but the other stuff was a little off, how can I improve and learn from that?".

Keep in mind that the beat doesn't have to be matched all the time. You'll get much more impact and interest out of a video if it fluctuates and you can create peaks and valleys.

Don't feel like the work was for nothing, if anything, I'm sure you learned a ton while doing this so there's just that much more knowledge you can apply on your next video.

Hey no sweat. As much as I might comment on effect use and editing style, do what you enjoy. It's pretty rare that you'll come out with something that everybody likes, and my comments are nothing more than my opinion. :)
