  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Entry is there, he's good to go, guys. :|
If you don't like the video just explain what didn't work. :p

For me, well... it was completely unoriginal, the scene selection just didn't work with the song and the sync wasn't really pleasing at all. :?

It seems that you are pretty new to making amvs. And one of the first things that people realize when they start making amvs is that almost every one of Linkin Park's songs have the perfect beat and rhythm for just about any amv. But because of this, sites like "you"tube are completely overloaded with Linkin Paark amvs. It has gotten to the point where many amv watchers "and especially the editors" cringe whenever they hear Linkin Park coming from a amv. It is just way too overused. Just take a look at this bar graph http://www.animemusicvideos.org/lists/usedmusic.php

Secondly, you used one of the most overused anime in existence. Putting Dragon Ball z to Linkin Park is almost as bad as putting it to Naruto. Just look at this bar graph http://www.animemusicvideos.org/lists/usedanime.php

My personal rule is that you shouldn't make an amv if somebody has already beaten you to the punch. I bet that even a casual search would yield about a hundred Linkin Park/ DBZ amvs.

In terms of the video itself, I think that you just lack experience. As you start to make more amvs, you will start to get better at timings. You will learn when to use fade in transitions and when to use no transitions at all. You will also start to learn the value of story boarding and planning out a plot for your amv. My best advice for you is to watch as many amvs as you can and decide for yourself which ones are good and which ones are bad. Then ask yourself why the good ones were good and why the bad ones were bad. Once you do this, you will start to gain a lot of knowledge on how to improve your own amvs.

I can only give this amv a 2.0 out of 5. But please don't be discouraged. Becoming a really good editor takes time and practice. My very first amv was so low quality that I'm too embarrassed to even upload it to "you"tube. It wasn't till I made many significant changes to it that I finally decided to upload it to the internet. A simple google search of "DBZ AMV ~FEEL GOOD INC.~ kireblue" should lead you to it. I'd probably never put it on the org though.

But anyway, I hope that you continue to make amvs. For me, every amv that I've made has helped improve my editing skills. I'm still nowhere near the level of many of the editors on the org, but each video I make brings me a little closer to my goals.
