Re: Vision - Kara no Kyoukai
M, well, it was short and the sources are good so it's hard to complain about it not being worth the time!
My main problem with it is that I think you limited yourself too much in terms of scene choices, and as a result some of the scenes you really ended up letting go on for too long, which broke up the flow of the video a bit. In pretty footage like this it's easy to just rely on internal sync, but I think that wasn't enough where scenes went over multiple bars/sections in the music. In this case I think you could afford to bring in other scenes, e.g. from the third movie. Plenty more stabbing to go around there and it'd help improve the visual flow.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Re: Vision - Kara no Kyoukai
First of all, congratulations for your first AMV
I agree with Otohiko that there a few scenes that were too long for moments. At the start, a less moving scene would have been better until the explosion of the music (around 0.05). I don't know if the first scene was slowed down or what, but I think it could have been a bit better. I liked how you synched the punch with the music, very well
. After those scenes, it felt like the video strayed from the music; you could take a characteristic sound from the music and synch scenes to them, and it would be quite much better.
You did a right change of pace in the middle of the video, but one thing I would like to advice you from that scenes is not to use one clip behind another one for a large time in AMV's (from my experience, it's that you want to show everything, but when you do that, you can only confuse more people, and it doesn't look quite well always; I did it a few times too
).
After that part, I felt pretty much the same that with the first part. Even though I liked the end of the video, I felt it could have been a little more synched with the music. That's all that I can say to you about what I thinked from the video.
I overall liked it. Keep it up
PD: to put a video info and all of it in 1 easy step, you should use [vidid] tags, read THIS topic, with them all the information from the video will be shown. 168831 is, and should be the videoid (?v=X), 168831 in your case. It should show
That's pretty helpful, when I was new I copypasted from other users one
.

This is not what I beta'd O:
Okay, just kidding... was nice, some places surely improved! Overally fairly good job for a first vid, while I agree that some places might have been still improved (faster cuts, faster cuts!). I gave it a solid 4/5 :>
