- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.

A Thousand Miles
We've all heard the song, and we've all seen it used time and time again. I hope, however, that this amv is a little different than anything you've seen before. In general, I'm a rather fast editor (preferring raw/simple effects), but I put more time into this than I usually do, and I hope you can enjoy watching it as I enjoyed making it. For those of you who are familiar with Macross Frontier, this is a tribute to Alto and Ranka, thus resulting in the challenge of cutting Sheryl out of the picture. Another challenge I faced was avoiding lip sync. For a series that focuses primarily on space battles and pop concerts, creating a romance proved to be difficult, but I enjoyed it immensely. In it's own way, this is the hardest thing I've ever made (the song is quite unusual to work with), though hopefully I did an at least adequate job and I won't leave any of you clawing out your eyeballs.

Re: A Thousand Miles
No Sheryl?!! Blasphemy!
I expected this to be some lack-luster attempt of an amv, but I actually kind of liked the outcome.
Though, I felt like scene selection was random at a few points in the amv and the dark color hue to the original scene was a tad annoying too.
I also want to stress the importance of using dvd footage, but the quality wasn't too horrendous.
3/5.
Oh, I also liked the piano key notes in the beginning and the end.

Re: A Thousand Miles
Thanks for the feedback! I did actually use dvd rip as my source, so I'll have to blame myself for a poor encode after the project was done ^.~ I'll be sure to work on that.LeapofFate wrote:No Sheryl?!! Blasphemy!
