I couldn't really get into it. Like, I know it was good. The song fit the anime, and you did the exact right amount of lyric sync. The editing was just very meh to me, nothing really stood out. And it didn't help that most Haruhi videos have a similar upbeat, bouncy feeling to them. Not up to your usual standard, but then again I guess this isn't like most of your other videos.
The main thing that I wanted just was to not use all the overused scenes. I never saw Haruhi before and just thought that it couldn´t be that hard, right? But god damn it, it is impossible! It just doesn´t work. You can´t make a good video without those scenes. At least I didn´t used the Haruhi dance scene and that makes me a bit happy at this point, but yeah it didn´t turned out the way I wanted it to be. Though, it looks like people who aren´t already sick of this amv source seam to like it. That´s good for meI didn't want to get it for Haruhi and even less for Weezer.
But it kinda surprised me in terms of a good oldschool-esque editing style with clean scene selection and without any fillers (but still fucking overused stuff since you just can't filter out that much out of a 13 episode series).
I wish you'd stick to this kinda style in overall, since the only things that really turned me off were the anime and the song. I'm not saying Haruhi is a bad anime, it's just overused and overrated IMO. I did understand your message in the video but even that concept itself (or at least similar stuff) has been recycled over and over in Haruhi AMVs.
I don´t know if I stick with the editing style. I go definatly into a different direction instead of my last vid Different Realities.
