Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Hellcat Shana
I used a big stick to hold-off life long enough to finish an AMV
Comments: I heard the song and it reminded me of the original Heavy Metal movie (1981) and specifically of the Taarakian warrior Taarna who, like Shana knew how to use the business end of a sword.
No special effects (unless you consider transitions effects).
Thanks to my beta tester: KawaiiRingo
Also, thanks to the overly-helpful and under-appreciated usual suspects that prowl the AviSynth forum.
Only mp4 - sorry

Joke is on Sama. I don't have crap when it comes to AMV timelines at the moment (with the sole exception of my WAFV track).
Anyway, I really liked the video. The sync was impeccable, the quality was good, and it used different scenes in Shana that I haven't really seen all that much in SHana videos.
Could have used a little more of a "hook" or a gimmick to make it more interesting, but then again, who am I to talk. Lol.
(Seriously though, I want that Pillar Beta again. I miss it in my tracks)

i bet you do really.CodeChrono wrote: I don't have crap...
i never liked this song, but it's so nice to see something that isn't made of swedish crossfade phail that i really rather enjoyed this. Then i tried watching it while listening to sander van doorn, and it became something beautiful. Maybe the visual flow is good enough that the sync doesn't really matter... bit slow at the start perhaps.

Thanks for the review Code. I'm glad the basics turned-out to your liking. I agree that I need to concentrate on pushing the "Hook" aspect a bit more.
BTW, The editor of that Pillar AMV was summoned to this thread and reminded to Git It Done...of course after she finishes her homework and cleans her room

Beware the Swedish Mafia that lurk the shadows...Fact: A liberal application of Sander van doorn to your AMV will increase blood flow and improve performance.
Thanks for the feedback!
