This video is a homage/spoof of the website, www.ytmnd.com. It's made up of 14 short videos based on several of the site's fads. It premiered over the weekend at Otafest and won the "Thanks, Now I Need New Pants" award. It's also considerably longer than the version that aired there; clocking in at 8 and a half minutes long. Anyhow, I hope you guys get a kick out of it and let me know what you think of it!

I don't mean this in a bad way, but I was expecting this to bring in the gold in the poo-poo olympics (as most AMV-Hellish Knock offs are).

But... It was actually pretty interesting.

Though the typography sucks a big one. :/ Yay for Adobe Premier Pro Preset titles!

You also get bonus points for using Lavos's theme. :O Cuz Chrono Trigger is an awesome game.

Like most compliltion videos, there were good ones, some bad ones & some really crappy ones. The eva singing one gets my highest award though, because the lip sync was surprisingly good. Oh and the leetspeak one made me about die from laughter! The Super Mario Galaxy one was both bad and crappy. :\

I'd like to reccomend it, but 114 MB is a bit much for 8 minutes. Dial-up people prolly won't get it, but since I have high speed it wasn't too bad. But still, I suggest working on compression some (like MP4). Though the quality now is shockingly gorgeous (in most of the segments anyway).

I'm surprised. That one was actually my least favorite one to make. I was originally going to include "All Out of Love" in that clip, but the editing was dragging so I decided to stop where it was.

Thanks! Yeah, Battle Angel Alita isn't all that common an anime these days. I thought Izuchi had a decent resemblance to CATS.

Actually, I'm shocked. Usually when I or somebody else suggests recompressing, they usually just tell us to screw off or something similar.

Now with the filesize down, I can full-heartily reccomend this.

Oh, and the Mario-Kart thing was priceless (for some reason I forgot to mention it). Some of the best comedic roto editing I've seen in a while. :O

Anyway, really enjoyed the video. Faves were Eva and Gunsmith Cats vs. Mario. Engrish FTW!!!

YTMND AMV: Commander in Fad just won the Audience Choice award at A-kon 19's Fans' Exhibition. So those of you who haven't checked it out yet might want to take a look.

As for the video itself, I'm genuinely surprised at how much people like the Mario Kart clip. When I was making it I didn't think it was that funny and was just doing it for the sake of wanting to spoof the fad. By the way, my personal favorites are the Lawl and Tra La La clips.

While this didn't make me laugh out loud, I was smiling and/or giggling and/or wishing for eye bleach throughout the entire thing. This greatly amused me, and I think you did a great job.

On the Buttracing parts, I'd hate to be Mario's tailor, or doing his laundry!

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one here who enjoyed the tra la la gag. The Mario Kart seems to be the dominant favorite.
