So, you're on Matches too huh? Good band. The video isn't half bad either. The other half could use a little more work but nothing difficult.

I liked that you followed the mood of the song for a good part of the video. The only thing I'd suggest about that is that the song is pretty much upbeat the whole way through. You should try and keep your editing slightly more upbeat for even the non-chorus parts. That will take some experimenting to find where you draw the line of "overdoing it" but you're off to a very good start regarding that. Not too many effects and not too little either.

Also important is clip selection. The process of clip selection should start taking place before you even get the idea for the song. Before even the tiniest glimmer of an amv idea comes into your head you have to (drum roll)......watch the anime. Oh, is that all? Yeah, doesn't sound hard. And it isn't. However, I'm guessing that it doesn't come naturally to everybody since not everybody cares about clip selection =/. So, just in case you are one of those people, or to make sure you don't end up as one of those people, I'm going to change the word "watch" to "memorize." As you watch it, remember as many of the major and minor scenes as you can. When you actually do get an idea, sift through the whole concept in your head. Run all those memorable scenes though the song and see if they go anywhere.

It goes without saying that familiarity with the source material will make it much much easier to find the right clips. Obviously you can't be expected to be watching the whole anime several times per second in your head while you are editing but every time you run into a snag regarding clip selection just run your editing tool over your source and see if any of the images ring a bell.

This video didn't have a whole lot of clip/lyric sync (when it did it was great though) but it did seem to follow the theme of the song. I've never watched digimon so I can't say for 100% certain that you could have found some better clips but look hard for them. Don't just settle on one battle/scene for longer than is necessary.

I don't know how much of this you already knew or used for this video but I hope it was still helpful. I give your vid a 3/5. Aside from the things I just told you just try and tighten up the little details like beat sync and lip sync some more.

Positives:
This video was very well edited for a first video. Your sync was pretty good although a tad weak in some places. You didn't overuse effects or abuse them at all really. The video matched up very well with the tone of the song and kept pace with it for the most part. Video quality and audio quality were good too :D

Negatives:

Little to no actual lyrical sync and spotty lip sync. Try editing the mouths moving in a frame by frame basis. For example save one frame long cuts of each seperate mouth motion during the scene you're using, then slowly build the sync a frame at a time. It's a bit slow, but you'll get very solid results.
A few of your cuts weren't very smooth at all, for example the cut around 2:00. As an AMVer you'll want to find a way to hide cuts like this. Also saw some minor interlacing on the white flashes, try setting up your project so you're not editing with interlacing going on...not really sure how to do it on the software you're using unfortunately.

Suggestions:
I'd say really work on getting some depth down in your videos as I believe Silk mentioned. It didn't really feel like anything was actually here and that you just hit the music. This is fine for just experimenting with sync, but generally frowned upon in a full video...there needs to be some connection lyrically with some of the scenes you are showing, whether you make up your own storyline that parallels with the lyrics, or just direct lyrical sync, making your scene selection line for line of the song. There are many creative ways to explore lyrical sync which I would recommend for your next video.

Overall, not bad, I would probably give this a 3/5, maybe a 2/5. But for a first video, this is just wonderful and I'll have to give it a 4/5. Nice work and I look forward to seeing work from you in the future!

Formatting: Maybe consider adding some footage at the end of your video, just going over the name of the song and artist as well as the name of the anime and creator, that way people don't necessarily need to come here and look this video up on the search just to see the name of the artist if they want to look more into them, or something of that nature.

I got this due to the epic sources and Silk's and Reda's support :)

I enjoyed watching it, it seemed a bit sloppy here and there (mainly lip sync and black flashes), but especially for a first that was a nice try

Keep it up ^_^

hehe... wasn't what I was expecting.

I pretty much agree with a lot of things said above.

Please cut your video footage up more. Having actually seen the movie, I know that a bunch of clips overran way too long. Oh, and if it's action you were going for, get more action based scenes (like the fight against the tall rabbit whose name escapes me right now)
