  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Saber's Choice(My new amv)

Post by GH » Wed Aug 15, 2007 9:55 pm

I SPOTTED A SUB *CRIES!!*

Story:(Not much lyric sync because Tohsaka is saying all the to him while hes fighting/overloading with power)

Emiya wanted a servant and knew Tohsaka was the best one to go to,for his wish, and they went to the Church where Tohsaka's friend could teach her how to use the spell, and when she used it,she gave Emiya a servant,Saber,And what she didnt know was Saber was going to be nore powerful then herself(Tohsaka)(btw,if you watch the show everyon knows the Servants are stronger then their masters),she figured it out because saber saved her,and she couldent beat all the people saber could, and Tohsaka decided that Emiya did not need her anymore, and thought she had nothing else to live for besides Emiya, and keeps telling Emiya to kill her,But obviously Emiya dosent want to kill her, because both,Emiya,AND Saber loved Tohsaka..,and Saber wouldent do anything like that anyway unless Emiya used his command spell, and so he wouldent do anything like that;EVER,and adventually Emiya and Saber together had killed every Master and their Servant(dosent show it all in this video though =o),and Emiya got obsessed with all his power, and slowely told Saber to killT ohsaka(with useing his command spell)..But..does Saber overcome the command spell and dis-obey?..

Fate/stay Night and a track from Decemberunderground? You have my attention!

First thing I notice is that you've cropped the video. DVDs are out. There's no reason for this poor quality.

Second, what did you do to this poor, defenseless song? You did something, and the audio quality is shot to hell and back.

OK, there's a single primary rule of storytelling in any form: show, don't tell. You rely on telling here, and none of the story you talk about is clear until the very end with the text. You could have cut things carefully to imply Emiya ordering Saber to off Rin, but you didn't. You opted for text.

All that said, in terms of technical editing this is fairly well executed. Well, the lip sync aside, as that's pretty frickin' weak here. You manage to nail the drumbeats pretty well.

In summary, you have the potential for a good action video here. The problem is that you went for plot, and failed miserably. 5 out of 5 for ambition, but 1 out of 5 for execution. 2 stars, for a good sense of how to time.

-----------------
Programs I Use:
-Sony Vegas 7.0
-VDubMod
-Codecs
-Limewire
-Veoh
-WinAVIVideoConverter
-Avic
...lol, i'd remove the limewire if I were you. You have to buy your anime and songs now these days. Its a rule someone made up because they wanted to make money or some crazy crap like that. I mean who does that anyway? Its soo 70's. XP

Anyway, back to the amv:

The quality isn't up to par.. If the quality was better, the amv would've been smoother. The beginning part could've went without the media generator(which made your incorrect aspect ratio noticeable). As I continued to watch I started to get into it but then... then.... I found subtitles! Something thats a major no no. I sorta like the flow but like i said, if it was high quality it would've been aloot smoother. Just practice on that stuff and try to remove subs next time.

2/5

hehe no prob. Thats why I watch my vids at least 20 times before I release it on the org. Just to make sure there are no subs or any minor errors.
