Death Note Amv - Wingstock

Post by Wingstock » Sat Jun 30, 2007 3:26 pm

Hi, this is my first post in this forum...
The video I'm going to link is the first amv I've ever made, and it's from the anime Death Note, as you can see from the title of the topic.

I hope you'll like it and write me your opinions ^^

Death Note ish da bomb. I'll have to get this one.

EDIT:

Meh. Wasn't too bad for a first video. It could have been a lot worse, trust me on that. Let's start off with the obvious. It's way too long. Four minutes is pushing it in an action AMV. An instrumental AMV shouldn't be this long. Another note is the DivX logo. Quite distracting. There is a lovely guid on how to remove this in the guids section. Video quality wasn't bad, and you did a supurb job of not putting any annoying lip flab in the video. Kudos to you on that. Other than that, it wasn't bad at all. I actually enjoyed the instrumental music, and found it to be synced pretty well with the overall theme of death note.

Meh. 3.00/5.00

Wow that was great for a first, I really liked it. The only thing i really I didn't like was the length which code_chrono already pointed out but it wasn't toooo long. Loved the music, fit the video really well. The fading in and out of clips at the beginning was pretty cool and I like how you edited the music kicking in. Great video.

First of all, thank you very much, I'm so happy you liked the video... :D
About the lenght, yes it's true is too long for an amv... I thought about cutting something, but then it sounded to me not so good, so I used the music as it was, without any changes.

Well, that's good that you realized that cutting the music would make it sound worse.

Just mentioning the length thing for your next project.

Your video was stretched out (too tall).

The quality was pretty bad.
I didn't think it was too long until you transitioned to the tennis scene. It should have ended right before that.

It was pretty much a rehash of the first part of the series, but your execution was good. I like your creative style, just figure out how to clean up your source (and use DVDs next time).
