I've been opposed to my trying to make a video because i'm afraid of fallinginto the "DBZ- Linkin park" cliche and just never being satisfied with my own work. BUt i made my own random NIN vid in my english media unit class because i had nothing to do. and it was kinda fun, i think i'm going to give it a shot ... but don't expect anything form me any time soon ... get my cpu back after exams ... and i'm making this thread because i'm bored out of my skull ... bye

Do it man! I decided to give it a try just last week and was quite pleased with the results. If you get the right idea, while it is hellishly time- and brain-consuming, it does become more addictive than games, and if the work flows right - gets exhilirating when you see that you're actually getting somewhere.

So yea, give it a try!

luckily I started making vids before coming on forums and distributing it online. I didn't have the problems new editors like you have, because I didnt care about if it appealed to other people. I think its easier to start out like that, besides knowing what is the best and "knowing" you suck

yea well ... i figured it would have been an amv announcment ... i guess the mods didn't see it teh same way i did ... oh well ... now all i have to wait for is to get my computer "back" ... once i get my normal abilities ... like poweruser status i'll be able to actualy do something with my computer beyond making wallpapers with paint and html with notepad.

well i really don't care for pleasing other people ... more for making my self happy by making somthing i can see as good ... if it jsut happens to make other people happy, then thats great, if not ... i'd gladly take constructive criticizm but i don't think i'd want to go out on a limb to tap dance for other people. Before i came to this org i didn't even know that you can edit videos to the extent you can on your home pc ... it's amazing what you learn every day.

it could be worse ... you could actualy be a fortune cookei ... but how would you explain your love of anime/editing/ability to type if yoru a cookie?
