Damn Teachers

I was at school the other day in the computer class doing an assignment for my biology class. I was finsihed with my work and I still had time left in class so I went to the org and started watching some videos. The damn teacher kicked me off the computer for watching a freakin AMV! Its the work of the government I tell yah!!!!!!

Teachers are idiots. If you want really stupid. How bout this. One of computer teachers mistook the org's forum for a chat room.

So I can't come here during class anymore.

And don't say come here when hes not looking because my school has a program that lets the teachers see whats going on on our monitors from their computers.

man, that sounds illegal to me. A little thing known as "invasion of privacy" is going on there. Most teachers are complete and total and utter jack-asses.

Invasion of privacy depends. If the school owns the hardware and whatnot, then technically, they can do what they want to ensure the computer resources get used as they want.

Correct me if I'm wrong, anyone, but I don't think it can be called invasdion of privacy if it isn't your private computer. It's their computers, they can make whatever rules they want and watch what you do all they want.

To be honest, I hate it when people post these "I HATE MY FARKIN' TEACHERS!!" threads. They are people who are doing a job. A job that doesn't pay very well, either. From kindergarten up to now (college) I got along pretty well with my teachers (the one exception that comes to my mind is my current economics teacher. But I just dropped that class, so it's a moot point now). I think they really appreciated how I always treated them civilly and didn't give them shit for just doing their job. It's like anything else, people, if you treat them with respect, they'll usually reciprocate. Believe it or not, they are more than likely not "out to get you".

I always hated that phrase too... every teacher is "out to get students". Bleah. Maybe if you stopped treating them as enemies, things would go differntly, hmmm?

Tis also true....and in contridiction to my previous post, I've also had alot of excellent teachers that have become friends for the long run. My college class size is an average of 11 students, so you get to know ur classmates and the prof. pretty well. And back in the grade school days, i agree with cute Misato icon dude, they have a job to do, and they get paid jack shit for raising eveyrones kids for them.
