Alright. This is a rather old, yet epic anime in my opinion. The DVD source isn't that great. For anyone that have the DVD's you know what I am talking about. Are there any recommended scripts for use with the Gunbuster DVD source? Take note that I am not using Gunbuster 2, I am referring to the original Gunbuster. Anyway, any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Well, the DVD says NTSC. I got it from my local Suncoast, but yet, it is really grainy, and the quality of the DVD Source is the same if not worse than Revolutionary Girl Utena.
I can get a screen if necessary. But I don't wanna scare anyone away...haha. I'm still learning with VDM and a little help would be appreciated. Thanks for your time whoever helps. I hope this new information has helped some. And I apologize if this is in the wrong section.

heh. Yesterday I had a talk about the Utena quality and with someone else about how to remove grain:
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... tqual.html
I suggest to check out the details of the heavier grain removers in this guide:Try it out in steps. Step number one is more or less a must:
MPEG2Source("Mahoromatic - Automatic Maiden - #10 - Das Schicksal eines Kriegers.d2v", cpu = 4)
temporalcleaner() #it´s more or less often a must too.
Deen("w3d",3,3,5) #parameters stand in the amvtech guide
cpu=4 and temperoalcleaner are soft cleaners, but do can give really fine results. Deen is more heavier stuff. Try to avoid overfiltering. Sometimes you have to restore the pictures with vmToon() and something like FastLineDarken().
Try it out! That´s the combination I´m working with and I´m pleased with the results..
