Alright I'm looking for songs and albums of a sci-fi nature, like 30 seconds to mars, that kind of rock...

i dunno i read something about wikipedia like they classify themselves as sci fi rock or something, but its not like i know a thing about music anyway which is why im asking here

I had a go at all the artists recommended so far, none of them are what I'm after but thank you for the heads up. I suppose that apart of 30stm I should say that Machinae Supremacy has songs which work purely on sound but the lyrics don't fit because they are usually about T.S Eliot type themes.

Have you tried Darf Punk?, they have a song called technology.
