What do believe there should be more AMVs of, and which animes series do you wish people would stop using!

I would like people to start using :

GTO (I would like someone to link me few good AMVs to this)
Assate No Houkou (hope spelled right,don't quite remember it..)
Kaibutsu Ouju,Kaze No Stigma... (they're airing these animes in japan now,so I guess there are no DVDs yet...)
Escaflowne

Stop using :

Bleach (I used one myself,but won't use it anymore..

)
Naruto (There is really too much of it..)
Hellsing
Inu Yasha (same as Naruto)
Full Metal Alchemist (there has been released few great tributes lately,but it's still same as Naruto - too much of it..)
Final Fantasy (YES - ALL OF THEM!)
Azumanga Daioh (it's getting not funny already)
Eva
Kenshin

There needs to be more entertaining videos but most people just follow the herd and try remaking whatever the last big AMV was and failing at it. Who gives a fuck what series it is as long as it's entertaining.

Godix makes a good point, but I'm entitled to never EVER want to watch Bleach again or DBZ. I really don't mind Naruto, to be honest, but during on Opinnion giving session, I was swamped with BLeach and DBZ videos. I never EVER want to see an AMV with either of them.

Oh, and I want more Death Note videos. X_X

Lemme refrase that, I want more GOOD Death Note videos. Fuze is the only one I think has made a good Death Note video, IMO.

I don't mean to criticize you for posing this question, and this is not directed specifically at you... but I think this is the type of mindset amv'ers need to step away from. Originality is always going to be the main point of interest in an amv. This does not need to be explained.

The problem with thinking like this [with that question on your mind] is it fuels the cycle of un-originality. Yes it is good that you want to stop overdone amv's from being made... I'm totally with you on that... but we wouldn't find ourselves in this situation if the first question wasn't asked.

"There needs to be more_____" is just going to raise more sheep to follow a fad. And as that fad reaches its end, we will be surrounded by thousands of _____ amv's, to which we will bitch and complain that there are too many ____ amv's.

This is something I think we are all guilty of. We see an amv we thought was really neat, so we want to make one just like it [...using Naruto, or Phenomenon, or Kooptangles... lense flares... HD... blah... whatever gets you off...]-- after all, it is much easier to duplicate than it is to create. But it is not so much about ease either. That's just part of it. I could put forth some bullshit 'psych' answer why this happens. We all want to be 'part of something' so the easiest and quickest way is to find out what the general populous likes, and add to it. Make your contribution. Be accepted by others. The more people the better. people that matter. to you. Thus you have found your place. Even saying that there is too much of ____ places you into a category of its own. The cool amv'ers. that . have. taste. Thus you have found your place. blah... there could be some ridiculous psych truth in this... so before people can answer this, I think people have to remind themselves why they are watching/making amv's in the first place.
