Editors you miss.

Post by SSJVegita0609 » Mon Jul 17, 2006 9:26 pm

Name someone who either is or is essentially retired from AMV making and explain why you miss their work.

Bote

I miss Bote's versitility. He was an AMV creator who could seemlessly switch from action to comedy to drama and back again while throwing every editting style imaginable in your face at 120 mph. I loved his early stuff as much as his later stuff, and can still watch and enjoy most of it today. Videos like Man of Sorrows and the VCA nominated War of Wrath have earned "Classic" status amongst my collection. Bote, wherever you are, know that you are remebered by at least one fan.
The best effects are the ones you don't notice.

I kinda miss Kamoc. His Silent Hill 2 stuff was quite good, and Is That You was another creepy little work of original animation.

I miss EK. "Failed Experiments..." is a damned classic. I also miss seeing new stuff from jbone. I know he's still around, but his AMVs was rock-solid.

a lot of one hit wonders editors..

dj-ohki
frostious
KenShimazu
TeclmmlEd

they need to come back and make some more amazing videos. >.>

then random people like

Katsumi_AMVs (Paulo )
animeksa
DarkXPower
Kamoc
Scott A Melzer
Kevin Caldwell

I don't know what happened to some of them.. some are just taking a while, are busy or whatever.. but I'm hoping to see some more from any of those people.. I don't bother hoping Kevin gets back into making them because I don't think it's gunna happen. I miss there work because there work is great. Is that a good enough explanation?
