Quick Comments What now?
2005-11-23 19:56:16 - I don't like the music
... How does that even work? How did you look up a music video, read the description, download it and THEN decide that you don't like the music?
While I appreciate that more people are leaving comments lately, That's just really really stupid.

That's simple. You like the anime and download it. You don't know the music. So you watch the vid and see that you don't like the music. To clarify, the comment isn't from me.StudioKZ wrote:How did you look up a music video, read the description, download it and THEN decide that you don't like the music?
I wouldn't care that much about such a comment. I would read it that way: I liked anything except the music.

I'm still advocating for it...
one of the girls in journals posts her comments all the time, and it would seem that they are really mean, horridly witty insults...

I cant say she is one of my favorite editorers but no one deserves to be harassed in such a manner..whiteash wrote:Another one for the collection.
"You know the saying that if you let 1000 monkeys bang on 1000 keyboards for 1000 years that they'll produce the entire works of shakespeare? This video would take 10 monkeys fling shit at a monitor for about 5 minutes to reproduce.""
This goes to the collection of reasons QCs shouldn't be annonymous. I tried extremely hard on the AMV this insulted

I couldn't have said it better myself. At least it is a better option to do, than pass the download all-together just because one doesn't know the music.Keeper of Hellfire wrote: That's simple. I don't really see what the comment receiver would benefit from that. If anything the anonymousness encourages truthful opinions, instead of making you watch behind your back on how you might think different from others. Unfortunately for this case, it only encouraged someone to blurb out quite the obvious stupidity...Purge wrote:yet another reason for non-annoymous quick comments - join the protest hehe
Though, It all comes down to how much weight you want to put on a comment, that was though up in a manner of a few minutes before even watching the anime music video.

I do like the ananymity of QC's, but I mean if someone is going to leave you a comment, I think it should be something more than "I don't like the music". I too have recently received a similar comment and it bugs me, as there's no implication of any like or dislike of the balance of the work (you can see my take on it here).

That's the double-edged sword of quick comments. The anonymity encourages truthful opinions, but also for the occasional random insult or flame (note: flames and criticism are different in my book).
I just wish there was some way to respond to them, because I've gotten a few where it was obvious the person just didn't have the codec. Those kinds of comments are just a bit of a pet peeve of mine, because if there are opinions on the video, it's obvious that somebody was able to see it, which would indicate that there isn't some flaw with the video that makes it unviewable, but I have no way to just tell them, "Get the codec!" (It's already in the video description, and it's not an uncommon codec.) Oh well, nothing I can do, so no reason to make a big deal out of it, after all.

I apologize deeply for the double post, but there were several posts made by the time I posted, and I just wanted to add on in light of them that the anonymous QC encourages truthful opinions, but also allows for insults, flames, AND random/non-helpful comments such as "I don't like the music" which don't really indicate anything about the quality of the video.

since it would seem taxing on the programers of the site (when I mentioned this before, this seemed to be the response I got) I think that making them no longer annon would be better cause then you can send PMs or get an email and contact them that way...Solaria735 wrote:I just wish there was some way to respond to them
