Where is all the NON amime music videos

hey guys

im not exacly new to this web site, but lets just say my visiting is ... intermidient

now i love anime just like the rest of you, but my interests spread beyond that as well

when i used to come here i was able to find all my fav NON anime music videos too. Like star trek, matrix, star wars, lord of the rings, AMERICAN anime, mechwarrior.... ect

now its all gone

i know the new rules and everything

but let me ask you guys this

is there a web site dedacated to the other stuff? / maybe containing the other stuff?

if not, then i think it is extreamly closed mined of the owners of this site not to let these artists an outlet for there art

how whould you feel if you had no place to share your work?

anyway please help me guys, id love to get my hands on that stuff again

not allowing non-anime music videos to be catalogued or hosted isn't close-minded. disregarding their existence or value would be. a-m-v.org doesn't partake in the latter.

... How exactly are the owners of this site any more at fault than the owners of the millions of other websites out there that have nothing to do with non-anime fan-edited music videos?

I would love to hear the reasoning behind this one.

Back in the day of indirect links and direct links this wasn't much of an issue since a-m-v.org wasn't in the biz of hosting people's work on the local. Now it is, and it makes since that they don't host Non-AMV's.. since its a Anime Music Video place. To make sure everybody knows this, they don't support search's for Non-AMV's like they used to... not that they supported it in the first place or had a system to stop it back then.

To me thats fine, other forms of Media is a bit riskier to host then anime. I heard that there was something for WOW MV's that grabbed a notice of sorts to shutdown from my friend thats into the game. Not sure if its true, its just something I heard so I'm useing it as an example.

So you gotta search around. Makes finding Non-AMV's a bit harder, but you can check out some people's websites via indirect links on this site.

If you wish to see a few vids that people from this site have made this place is a good place to find some. Made by another guy looking for Non-AMV's. Hope some of the directs still work on it.

And to answer your question of how I would feel if I didn't have a place to share my work.. much like I would in the early days of a-m-v.org until I obtained a website.

There is no such thing as American anime. By the very definition of anime, it's just not possible. It's like saying 'dehydrated water'. Besides, none of that stuff was suppoed to be here to begin with - it was against the rules the entire time.
