kooky full metal alchemist suggestion

Post by pinky75910 » Sun Apr 03, 2005 8:19 pm

For a long time, I'd been hoping to do a vid to the Beatles' "Penny Lane," but had trouble finding things that would fit it. I think finally, mebbe, I've found something that could fit the whole thing. Full Metal Alchemist. Wait, I'll explain.

I think the "barber" is Hughes, for the first line-
The Fireman, for obvious reasons, is Mustang,
And the banker should be Armstrong - check out line 6.

LMK what ya think! I don't have FMA on DVD, so if anyone wants it, go right ahead please.

Penny Lane there is a barber showing photographs,

Of every head he's had the pleasure to know,

And all the people that come and go, stop and say hello

On the corner is a banker with a motor car,

The little children laugh at him behind his back

And the banker never wears a "mac" in the pouring rain, very strange

Penny Lane is in my ears and in my eyes,

Wet beneath the blue suburban skies

I sit and meanwhile back, in

Penny Lane there is a fireman with an hourglass,

And in his pocket is a portrait of the Queen

He likes to keep his fire engine clean, it's clean machine

Penny Lane is in my ears and in my eyes, full of fish and finger pies,

In summer meanwhile back

Behind the shelter in the middle of the roundabout

A pretty nurse is selling poppies from a tray

And though she feels as if she's in a play, she is anyway

Penny Lane, the barber shaves another customer

We see the banker sitting waiting for a trim

And then the fireman rushes in, from the pouring rain, very strange

Penny Lane is in my ears and in my eyes,

Wet beneath the blue suburban skies

I sit and meanwhile back

Penny Lane is in my ears and in my eyes,

There beneath the blue suburban skies

Penny Lane

I think it's a great idea! :D I just can't do it cuz I don't have FMA (yet... ), and lack the time, and have way too many other ideas on my plate. But I hope someone does it; they lyrics work so great.

Well - If you get un-busy, mebbe you can do it the future if you still feel like it and no one else has yet.

I've figured out the "main characters" of the song, just not sure what to do about the rest... or the "portrait of the queen." Mebbe just need to see more FMA first. I guess during the refrain you could have Ed and Al doing something, mebbe lip-synching the song. Who knows - up to the amver. I'd do it if I was clever enough to do it right and I had access to FMA footage.

Fullmetal Alchemist + Beatles = Possibly the Greatest Thing Ever. Seriously. This sounds like an awesome idea!
