I'm doing a Chobits vid now that I have all the clips and I really want to capture the love between Chii and Hideki... any point of view is fine. I'm just searching for a song, something about the other one is the only one for that person, or realizing that's the person you've loved all along or any other song that really explains the feelings of Chii and Hideki, if anyone has any ideas, that they would wish to share, please do! ^_^ Thank You soooo much!!!

Well, Chobits is one of my favorite anime, but I had to think a while about this one. What I came up with was this:

Fastball - "Vampires" - believe it or not, there aren't ANY videos to this song on the website - which is weird cuz it happens to be one of my favorite songs (to go with the anime, right? ^_^ ). Anyway, this song reminds me more of the mysterious nature of Chobits. It is romance, and it does talk about devotion, but you might have to take some of the lyrics as metaphorical. The song isn't very long - in fact, it only just brushes over three minutes (3:10). It flows very nicely and could make for a dreamy sort of video. I would really push for this song just cuz I like it so much, but it's your decision.

Ashley Ballard and So Plush - "It Was You" - if you prefer the cheezy sort of upbeat pop ballad song, then this is for you. To be honest, it's more directed at friendship (it even says something about being friends in the lyrics,) but it does talk about having devotion to someone A LOT. In fact, that's the whole song. I like the song, but like I said, it's kind of cheezy. It would fit Chobits, but it might not be what you're looking for. BTW, it's about 4:12 for time.

Del Amitri - "Roll to Me" - again, this hasn't been done before, but it is just a nice, upbeat love song. It is VERY short, topping out at 2:12. I would suggest this cuz it reminds me very much of what Hideki would say if he were commenting on Chi's situation in life. As for the lyrics, one part is: "the wrong guy, the wrong situation, the right time to roll to me." Well, just think of the last couple episodes and what you learn about Chi. Yeah. Ya feelin' where I'm comin' from? ^_^ This is just a generally fun romance song.

Well, those are just a couple of songs (that I went overboard with the description on, might I add.) None of the three are tear-jerking ballads, if that's what you want. Does song genre matter? Are you looking for something heart-wrenchingly beautiful? Something sad? Happy? I'd be more than willing to help more. I just want a little more input on the type of song you're looking for first. Okies? ^_^

thank you so much for your suggestions! I def. will make one of them and thank you at the end! "Roll to me" is def. one of my favs. I came across "Everywhere" by michelle branch the other day and decided to make that one aswell... what do you think?

Hey, I'm always glad to help.

As for "Everywhere," even the music itself has an upbeat Chobits vibe to it, so I like the idea already. After listening to the song, I figured that the lyrics fit very well in a "confused Chi" sort of way. Know what I mean? Actually, of the three I suggested, I thought that "Roll to Me" fit the best anyway.

I absolutly LOVE Chobits and I know a good song to use. It's Are You The One by Within Temptation and Timo Tolkki. If you have trouble finding the song I'll be more than happy to e-mail it to you.
