Creepy Music for AMV idea
Greetings,
My college anime club here is having an AMV contest as part of their halloween events. A friend and I were thinking of doing an AMV for it. It's a general contest, but we wanted to do a halloween themed one. We're looking for input on song choices.
We really want one that starts off very soft, preferably where you would think it might be a drama AMV. But then, all of a sudden, some power chord goes, and it goes into something rather heavy. Throughout, both components (especially the second one) we want it to be creepy.
I want to keep this thing's violence and action to a minimum though, try to make it creepy by the content and its arangement with the song, as opposed to making it needlessly gory. But yeah, just wanted to add that to give a better idea of the style of AMV we're trying to make this.
Anyway, thanks for the help. Ja!

Are you looking for AMV's or suggestions?
Music-wise, there are some good things hidden among King Crimson's "THRaKaTTaK". The first track is EXACTLY what you're looking for in the description - first a soundscape with odd haunting noises, and then out of nowhere - yes, you guessed it, power chords, heavy like you've never heard them before. I may be able to provide you with a sample or the full track if needed.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

why dont you just mix some tracks togeather ? it aint simple but with the right software it shouldnt take long to get the hang of it. try acid express . its free and from the same great guys that made vegas
but anyway, im not sure if this is exactly what you want but, try the remix of linkin parks one step closer (its name is 1STP KLOSR . seriosly) . its got a realy strange flow to it.

Man or Astro-Man? - "Very Subtle Elevators"

If you are going for classic Halloween creepy, Midnight Syndicate. If you are going for a more metal thing (which is retarded imho for halloween), I would suggest the Wanderer by Emperor, as it has a feel to it of desperation and oblivion. OR, you could take the Hocus Pocus version of "I Put a Spell on You" and blow us away with tons of "funneh".
