Creepy o.o

Post by Flint the Dwarf » Fri Jan 23, 2004 9:01 pm

Alright, so I was working with my video just a while ago. And Nailz suggested something to me. He suggested that I basically change some colors in this one part of my video. I didn't add any clips here, I duplicated one and extended the length (also making it show the entire clip rather than a portion) and had partial clips on top of it in blood red.

Anyway, it didn't come out at all like it should have. Here's a screencap (sorry about the size, it's about 100 kb):

Now I don't know about you... but that doesn't even look like anime. I'm beyond confused at this point, so I look all around at Now and Then, Here and There (the anime I'm using) and my imported .avs files to find this live action footage. Nowhere to be found. At this point, I remember that I just ripped some live action footage from a WWII DVD... but it's still in .vob form with no .avs file created because I wasn't planning on using the footage. Also, I haven't imported anything from that DVD rip into my project. Nailz said I'm being haunted by the ghost of a dead soldier. o.o

After much thinking, it might be that when I first started making the .d2v of one of the war DVDs, I sent it to the wrong directory which might just be the third disc of NTHT (because that's the corresponding clip on my timeline). But I don't remember sending it to the wrong directory. :? Still creeped me out at first.

Anyone else had anything like this happen when making a video?

The only really stupid error I got while making videos was when Ulead wouldn't read some of my clips properly. Like I'd have a 3 minute clip and it would only acknowledge it as a 27 second clip so after it hit the 27 second spot it would just show the frame it stopped on kind of like a still image wherever I had tried to use the footage. Rather annoying. I've had it happen on two videos I made and I don't know why the hell it happened. That's one of the reasons I almost didn't finish CG Means War!

This reminds me of the time I used to have some Yu Yu Hakusho vobs on my comp and I deleted them. When I downloaded an incomplete episode of Naruto and played it, the footage from the Yu Yu Hakusho vobs was playing instead.

But flint, your story scares the bejesus out of me.

what anime was it?

Hehe.. maybye there is a moral to this... or to your anime... they didn't want anyone out of Japan to know it.. but that is actually part of the anime.. a part that only Japanese know about... it's their "secret plot"
