Inspiration...and my first time using Premiere

Post by TKDarkhaven » Wed Jan 07, 2004 8:21 am

I've been a member of a-m-v.org for quite some time now. But I never uploaded a video, for when I became a member, my PC died. Finally I got a new PC (A 2.2GHZ, 1GB RAM, 80GB HD, 15.4inch WUXGA Display Pentium 4 laptop to be precise :) ). I got premiere 6.0 and sat on it. Not a good AMV Idea came to mind. Until one day I was listening to Goo Goo Dolls- Slide. And little by little I began visualizing Kare Kano scenes. BAM! The music video Idea was born. I'm not new to AMVs but I used to use Windows Movie Maker in my newbie days, so when I looked at premiere the first time it was like "Hey guys I brought the sandwiches- OH MY GOD!" Luckily, a local friend some of you may know as EBWiz walked me through ripping DVDs and the whole AVS Thing.

Unfortunately, my luck proved sour when my very first experience with premiere involved two hours of solving the "Unrecognized Exception" error. But once we got it up and running I fell in love with the program and the video looks quite promising. I've finally left my newbie days of Linkin Park AMVs and leaped into originality. I wish you all the best of luck and hope you wish me the same with my AMV. Until next time, this is Darkhaven. Signing out.

Welcome sir, and good luck.

(Btw, the forum's a little less casual nowadays, so that's why you may get a lil flak for posting just a personal story, but tis no biggie)
