Guitar Shots in Animes ?¿?
Hey all. I was wondering if you could recommend any anime series that have numerous shots of a lead character playing guitar. I have an idea for a song that is about 7 minutes, so it would need to be a lot of shots through out the series [keep in mind once it's edited down]. If you could recommend any series that relate to this, or just have some decent shots I could use I would greatly appreciate it. This is for an upcoming video idea I am working on. It'll have kind of a blue'sy feel to it, so anything fitting that theme would also be good input. Thanks

Actually, two series come to mind. The first being Gravitation... a show about a rock band. I haven't seen all of it, mainly due to lack of interest... but I know there's quite a few guitar shots in it.
The other is that anime that I haven't seen any of, but heard bad things about here and there. Um... the title escapes me right at the moment, but it had that black haired guy on the cover? ^_^; It was released a while ago ... ah, Black Heaven! Yeah, never seen it but it might help you... so check it out?
Hope this helps a bit.

There are a few shots in Excel Saga.
In kenshin ova that one chick plays some other gutar thing. (Bad anime fan not knowing the name of that. >_<)
Flcl of course.
Ask Ermac some how, he has that Weird Al yankvich video with a lot of people doing band like things.
Oh, you might also want to check out the first few videos of that long music video that was made for someone. (yeah, I'm helpful)

Incidentally, although I realise you didn't ask about this: I think seven minutes is too long for an AMV. Most contests have a five minute limit, and even if you won't be entering any, a really long song runs the risk of boring your audience and leading you into repetition, especially if you'll be focusing in on one character (which means you'll probably be limited to only one or a few series for source footage). In my most recent video I chopped a seven-minute song to about 4:30, and I was glad I had done so.

I wish more people made long AMV's. But, of course, if entertaining the viewer is your priority, then a short but sweet bit would do.
I believe there's plenty of guitar shots having been listed by now

Hmm I hadn't really thought about that too much. It's a killer song for me, but others may not want to sit through all 7 min. I "may" edit it down if there's a way to do it with this song that is not completely noticable. Thanks for the advice though.koronoru wrote:Incidentally, although I realise you didn't ask about this: I think seven minutes is too long for an AMV. BTW Thanks for all the suggestions people I am compiling a list of DVD's I gotta get soon!

Kikaider, perhaps... So far he has only played it once when he was learning to play it. But it's only episode 3... He's always got his guitra strapped to his back...
