For my own part, this is sort of true. As we all know, I'm not exactly the best-loved person hereabouts. I'm not the easiest person to get along with, and the org hasn't changed that.

What the org has done is made me take some things at least semi-seriously. When I first joined, I was a kid. I screwed around, spammed like a drunken inthesto, and generally made a pest of myself. A year or two after that, I found myself putting a lot of time into solving problems and making the forums a better place. As for whether or not that actually worked out, well, there's a different question entirely.

In the end, the Org played a non-trivial role in my life for years. I'd be pretty sad if it could do that without changing me. As for the how... it's difficult to say, but I'd like to think it's been (mostly) for the better.

Kalium's story seems to be almost the opposite for me - I started out helping people and I find myself spamming more often than I used to... however, my spamming is not anywhere near other peoples :P

I've heard it said
That websites come into our lives for a reason
Bringing something we must learn
And we are led
To those who help us most to grow
If we let them
And we help them in return
Well, I don't know if I believe that's true
But I know I'm who I am today
Because I knew the org...

Like a scene ripped from a DVD
And timed to a song
Like a stream that needs to buffer
Halfway before it's done
Who can say if I've been changed for the better?
But because I knew the org
I have been changed for good

It well may be
That I will never log in again
In this lifetime
So let me say before we part
So much of me
Is made of what I learned from you
You'll be with me
Like a watermark on my heart
And now whatever way our stories end
I know you have re-edited mine
By being my friend...

Like a clip bumped from its video track
By an errant mouse click
Like an opinion left by a old-schooler
On a newbie's vid
Who can say if I've been changed for the better?
But because I knew the org

And just to clear the air
I ask forgiveness
For the things I've done you banned me for

But then, I guess we know
There's blame to share

And none of it seems to matter anymore

Like a scene ripped from a DVD
And timed to a song
Like a stream that needs to buffer
Halfway before it's done

Like a clip bumped from its video track
By an errant mouse click
Like an opinion left by a old-schooler
On a newbie's vid

Who can say if I've been
Changed for the better?
I do believe I have been
Changed for the better

Who can say if I've been changed for the better? Because I knew the org, I have been changed for good.

For me it has, There are alot of doosh bags on here i can tell you that!!!!! LOL
But watching the REAlly popular AMVs it has inspired me to keep on going, to make, to take cristism (proper reviews, not the ones the stuck up AMV editors use). and to keep on going.

I will be staying here for a long time i can tell you THAT! ^^

:D 8-)

If you are going to refer to some of us as feminine cleanliness products, at least spell them right.

And I for one demand pictures of specific brands with a clearly illustrated graphic showing which product correlates to which editors.

Only way it changed me is made me more serious about how I go about editting, that's pretty much it. Haven't been around much or long enough to have had any other significant changes.
