...and in reality, it's not like the State is the reason why some people are talented. It's their creativity, technical ability, wit, patience, etc. None of that is derived from where you edit and thus I don't see the point to this other than the already-stated reason of ego inflation.

Oh yea, let me add my own ego to it:

Virginia, Georgia and Florida is best, because I lived in all 3 ;p

Georgia might be a little better since we have AWA ;p

.. but then Florida has all the cute girls....

... and VA has Otakon... hmmm..... well AWA > Otakon as far as AMV contest goes...
