The best effects are the ones you don't notice.

Teaching myself how to use Premiere, hopefully if i can get that done some time this century I can get started on the video, if not well then ill get to work using Ulead VStudio.

Hellsing used with a song (dont wanna give it away)
Berserk (again dont wanna give song away)
and im thinking whether to do a DBZ video, it will be the Buu saga (+ tournament at begining) with an awesome song from Lunatic Gods.

You can be sure that it might be heavy, it might be fast, it might be random clips over heavy music and then again i might pull something out and make it a worth-a-download amv.

Only Time Will Tell. :D

Well, I was trying to get a Azumanga/Bubble Bubble AMV done, but then I saw the pic of Osaka holding a knife next to Yukari and thought, "You know, she should be holding a lightsaber."

....

Four days worth of being completely distracted later, I come up with...this.

Maybe now I'll actually be able to actually get back to work on what I was supposed to be doing.

heh did u paint the knife in different colors frame by frame? i know it can be done that way and then exporting into filmstrip to photoshop.
Anyway it looked very realistic(first time i see this used in amvs) hope to see the full version of it.

Yeah, the blade was drawn in frame by frame. I read about exporting to filmstrip, but I, for whatever reason, ended up just Photoshopping each necessary frame manually. The hardest part was reconstructing the parts of Osaka that are obscured by the knife in the original....

This isn't part of an AMV, though. This was just me getting a random idea and playing around with Premiere and Photoshop(and learning some things about the software I didn't know before, like how to pan properly). I'd like to use this technique in a later AMV, but I'm going to need to quite significantly boost my skills before I try the idea I've got in mind.

And yeah, I saw the Virtua Anime AMV earlier. That one looks like the lightsaber's a 3D object, as it casts a green light on Asuka instead of just having the aura around the blade.
