Headphones for me. My good speakers would annoy the crap out of my roommates. I have speakers built into my laptop, but they flat out SUCK. Great system, shitty speakers (even by laptop standards).

I just hook my computer up to my stereo. Having a good base helps, and that's one thing headphones don't have.

I use headphones when editing. I can hear more details of the audio that way.

Wow, I didn't know so many people watched and edited with speakers o.o I'm just really used to headphones. When I listen to music, it's normally away from where I would have speakers, so I've used headphones. If I'm home, it also works better with headphones. That way, I don't disturb my family, and their TVs won't interfere with my music. Plus, I get better sound through headphones, and mine are really comfortable. I rarely turn on our speakers unless I'm cleaning in another room. So, likewise, I edit and watch with headphones. I guess I should go check things on speakers from now on.

Speakers for me unless there is too much surrounding noise in which case I do go with headphones to block everything else out.

I like to switch it up though,sometimes i get tired of wearing headphones and listen to the music on speakers. I prefer headphones. Wireless. Wires are so ... confining.

Definitely headphones, because the details can be heard better in comparison with my speakers. You can get better quality with good headphones at a much lower price than speakers. Once you go mid-end or even higher (I absolutely love my Grado Alessandro MS-2i headphones) you just cannot go back anymore - everything is just so much clearer!

And every real editor works at night, so headphones are a must!
